Aurora Model

In a telephone conversation with tone ring maker Paul Ebbe, we discussed his rings and he sent me one to test. He was looking for a builder to use his tone ring exclusively. I already have my own ring and was not interested in use of another ring in my existing models, but after testing the Ebbe ring in a new Custom Model and also a pre war conversion, I told Paul I would be proud to build one model using his ring only. I asked him to have input in this model, so he named the model and said he always liked the wreath pattern and also said let's do it with a curly maple resonator and a mahogany neck. He also chose to use a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and Gill pre war style resonator. The Aurora is definitely a professional quality banjo.
